It&#8217;s a column-based database designed for analytical workloads. Generally, a relational store like RDS would be used for OLTP workloads (e.g., queries, inserts, updates, and deletes), and Redshift would be used for <strong>OLAP<\/strong> (e.g., retrieval and analytics).
